Cookie Policy

Last updated: [set at launch]

This policy explains what this website stores in your browser. The short answer: almost nothing. ahelia.com is deliberately built without analytics cookies, without marketing cookies, and without third-party tracking of any kind. The only browser storage that can occur is strictly necessary for security, and it appears only on the contact page.

What cookies are

A cookie is a small text file that a website stores in your browser when you visit. It lets a site remember information across pages and between visits. Sites can also use similar technologies, such as local storage or session tokens, to the same effect. Under EU law (the ePrivacy rules and their Bulgarian transposition), storing or reading anything on your device requires your prior consent, unless the storage is strictly necessary to deliver the service you asked for.

Our posture: cookieless by design

  • No analytics cookies. We measure site traffic with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless. It sets no cookie, uses no local storage, and does not fingerprint or profile visitors. It gives us aggregate page-view counts and nothing about you as an individual.
  • No marketing cookies. There are no advertising pixels, no social-media embeds that track you, and no third-party marketing scripts anywhere on the site.
  • Only strictly necessary storage. The single exception is Cloudflare Turnstile, the bot-protection check on our contact form, described below.

Why there is no consent banner

Consent banners exist to collect the prior consent that non-essential cookies require. This site sets no non-essential cookies, so there is nothing to consent to, and we show no banner. Strictly necessary storage is exempt from the consent requirement and is instead disclosed transparently on this page.

Cloudflare Turnstile on the contact form

The contact form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which distinguishes human visitors from automated abuse (spam and bot submissions). Turnstile loads only on the contact page, not site-wide. To perform its check, it may store a short-lived challenge token in your browser for the duration of the session.

This storage is strictly necessary: without it, we could not offer a working contact form, because the form would be unusable under automated spam and the email channel behind it would be flooded. Protecting a service the visitor has requested (submitting an inquiry) is the classic strictly-necessary case, so Turnstile operates without a consent prompt and is disclosed here instead.

That is the complete list. There is no first-party consent cookie, because there is no consent banner to remember a choice for.

If we ever add non-essential tools

Should we ever add a tool that sets non-essential cookies (an analytics product that is not cookieless, an embedded video player, a marketing script), we will not simply switch it on. Before any such tool fires, a consent mechanism will be activated: the tool will be blocked until you give consent for its category, a banner with equally prominent accept and reject options will collect that choice, and this policy and its table will be updated first. Until that day, what you see on this page is the complete picture.

Deleting storage in your browser

You can clear any stored data directly in your browser. In Google Chrome, open Settings, then "Privacy and security" and "Cookies and other site data". In Mozilla Firefox, open Settings, then "Privacy & Security" and the "Cookies and Site Data" section. In Safari, open Settings, the "Privacy" tab and "Manage Website Data". In Microsoft Edge, open Settings, then "Cookies and site permissions". Clearing the Turnstile token has no lasting effect; the check simply runs again the next time you use the contact form.
