legalize-bg: Bulgarian law knowledge base

Context

Bulgarian legislation is published for human reading: portal pages with no version history and no machine access. There is no way to ask what a law said on a given date, and nothing an AI tool can cite article by article as a primary source. Our own legal drafting work needed exactly that, so we built it.

What we built

A pipeline that converts the national body of legislation into structured text and records every amendment as one dated change, so any act can be compared between any two dates. On top of the corpus sit a temporal index and a live query service that answers by act and article, tracks amendment history, and diffs versions. It now serves as the only authoritative Bulgarian source inside our drafting and research projects. A free public browser is designed but not yet live.
