National Stop Register of Bulgaria

Context

Bulgaria had no unified register of public-transport stops. The information existed in nine operator feeds, the state road-safety cadastre, and the national transport administration archive, each with its own data model and its own conflicts. Without one canonical register, national planning and standard European transit tooling had nothing to stand on.

What we built

The National Stop Register of Bulgaria: one machine-readable register for the whole country. A deterministic precedence rule resolves conflicts between sources, and every record is first assigned to its settlement using official cadastral polygons. The register is published in the European NeTEx standard and as GTFS, so it loads directly into standard transit tooling, ships with an offline viewer, and every release must pass an automated acceptance gate before publication. The data is open under CC-BY-4.0, the code under MIT.
